Roozen House

Roozen House
Roozen House 2001 RAIA Western Australian Architecture Award.

Overlooking an exquisite coastal seascape at the Indian Ocean a long bunker like wing containing bedrooms rides along the dunal contours of the site and acts as a buttress to another cantilevered wing made of copper which houses the living spaces. The building is a composed journey which both conceals and reveals its setting as you descend into its open courts and deeply caved spaces to its careful framing of picturesque views.
